Then, consent it on for about 20 minutes or until it desiccates, then rinse your skin well. Repeat this process twice a day until the razor knocks are gone.
Calendula cream soothes the skin by stimulating collagen production, an essential protein for glowing skin, says Dr Chaçon. This plant also helps to soothe and moisturize the skin.
Before application, clean the affected area with a mild soap, then the solution and dry the irritated area well. Apply a thin layer of calendula cream once or twice a day until the hives disappear, says Dr Chaçon.
Almond Oil,Tea Tree Oil And Coconut Oil
Coconut oil has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties, while sweet almond oil is super calming, making Dr Chacon an excellent skin-softening moisturizer. On the other hand, tea tree oil has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties and can heal minor injuries and soothe burns.
Look for pressed coconut oil and smear a thin coating on the inflamed area, says Dr Chaçon. Sweet almond oil can be helpful directly to the affected area if needed. Please do a patch test before applying to avoid further irritation to your skin.
Colloidal Oatmeal Bath
Colloidal oatmeal, a fancy term for ground oats that have ground into a fine powder, contains phenol with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, says Dr Chacón.
If you’re trying to get rid of razor burn, soak in a colloidal oatmeal bath for 10 to 15 minutes once a day.
Hot and cold compresses can help soothe irritated skin, says Dr Chacón. If you’re particularly prone to razor burn, applying a warm compress before shaving can help open your pores and loosen hairs.
Hydrocortisone cream is a current steroid used to reduce inflammation and skin irritation. It can cast off as directed, usually once or twice a day, notes Dr Chacón.
